L'Anno Giubilare è un evento che acquista un significato per l'intera umanità. Il Dicastero per le Chiese Orientali intende offrire con il presente sussidio il proprio contributo ad una celebrazione piena ed efficace del Giubileo, fornendo a tale scopo alcune indicazioni a pastori e fedeli. La prima parte si propone di porre in evidenza alcuni elementi del patrimonio orientale particolarmente significativi in riferimento all'Anno Santo. La seconda e la terza parte offrono un concreto, anche se sintetico, aiuto ai fedeli orientali che si recheranno a Roma per il pellegrinaggio giubilare, indicando loro eventi e luoghi dell'incontro fra Roma e l'Oriente, in modo che essi possano arricchire il loro itinerario di fede.

The Jubilee Year is now upon us, an event that is significant for all humanity. With the present pastoral guide, the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches hopes to contribute to a fuller and more effective celebration of the Holy Year by providing information useful for both the clergy and the lay faithful. Part I highlights certain elements of the Eastern heritage that are particularly relevant in reference to the Holy Year. Parts II and III offer practical, albeit concise, assistance to the faithful of the Eastern Churches who make a Jubilee pilgrimage to Rome by pointing out events and places of encounter between Rome and the East in such a way as to enrich their journey of faith.
